This is no reprint. Kovalevsky was born in the Charkov region (Ukraine) in 1851 and died in 1916 in St. Petersburg.
He was a jurist, historian and sociologist and one of the cofounders of sociology in Russia.
Kovalevsky was in contact with Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.
In 1912 Kovalevsky was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
