Paolozzi born in Leith/Scotland was of Italian origin, he had his first solo show at the Mayor Gallery, London. He was exhibited at the documenta II (1959), III (1964), IV (1968) and VI (1977) and the Biennale 1960.
and he was a professor at the Hamburg Hochschule für Bildende Künste between 1960-1962 and at the AdBK Munich from 1981-1989.
In 1979 Paolozzi was awarded as a member of the Royal Academy of Arts.
