The rare first edition by John Cary (1754-1835), one of the most famous English cartographers globe and mapmaker. In 1794 Cary was commissioned by the Postmaster General to survey England’s roads, which resulted in in this book, Cary’s New Itinerary, a map of all the major roads in England and Wales.
